“ Delicious food right in the centre of Lincoln. Didn't book but it may be busier at other times. Easy wheelchair access with only a little difference between the road level and the floor level inside. A bit of confusion about one meal order but they sorted it very quickly. Highly recommended. ”
“ Multi reviews Day time visit, Sion as the doors opened, great service so friendly, got a standard wheel chair in but I feel with good communication with them at busy times they would accommodate the space for larger chairs. Food amazing. Very friendly, good communication. Ask him for recommendations. They're happy to share and they also tried us on a new drink at the end of the meal. I don't know if it's like a pallet cleansing drink but it was lemon. It was fresh. It was lovely. Little bit strong lol but wow Visit again... 2024 did a lunchtime visit and wow was lovely, really nice. Felt like a personal service, food as always. Hot full of flavour. Good size portions. Fantastic evening. In short .... Lasagna, vegetable pesto pasta and carbonara. They do have the proper names. Lasagna was a good size made in the traditional way. Full of meat which isn't all the case in a lot of places ... Gino shows them how they should be made full of flavour, they didn't kill it with cheese. The veg, pesto pasta - daughter is a fussy one and worse with textures but the good is just right ... Full of peppers packed with flavour. Again a good size portion. Carbonara... Creamy pots with flavour. Lots of bacon. Really good size portion. If you're going to go, go hungry... Where did it get out of garlic bread fries . Food piping hot. I have to say I feel we paid the right price for the food. The venue was clean and the staff was attentive. One thing would say is they could loose a table or two just to off a little more space I know it reduces foot fall but you did feel a little sat on down stairs. The number of times ppl caught my chair or rubbed past.... if you was of any size some areas down stairs may make you feel uncomfortable. . Don't let that out you off it's worth going x ”
“ I fully enjoyed our meal here. The food was a delightful experience. It's been a long time since we finished a meal and agreed it was perfect. We found out later there is a restaurant at the rear of the street that looks out towards the castle wall. We will try that next time. ”
“ Handy location near the castle and cathedral. Menu and wine list has a good selection. Service friendly and fast. Food tasty. ”
“ Went there this Saturday at about 5p.m.; just as well we booked as it was busy. Great atmosphere; very clean; good service. Portion sizes were very good ( but we are in our 70s). 10% service charge added which we were happy to pay (I have had it removed where service/ food didn’t warrant it). We will book again if in the area. ”
“ Took a short trip to Lincoln, and found this gem of an Italian restaurant here. No complaints here, just pure compliments to the chef and wait staff. Delicious food, to say the least! ”
“ We had come to visit the Lincoln castle and were finding some place for lunch around noon. Came across Gino's. The lunch deals seemed pretty good. Our diet is restricted, being vegetarian but the options were several. The food portions are extremely large and an absolute value for money. The last who served us was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The food was excellent! It's one of the best veggy friendly Italian places I have eaten at in England. ”
“ Lovely independent Italian on the hill with a welcoming vibe. The decor inside is nice and although not the most spacious dining area it gets away with it with the friendly atmosphere. Orders were taken quickly from the brilliant staff and service was fast too. The menu is large and easily has something for everyone. The mussel starter was brilliant, with a super sauce, good portion size, and lemon water bowl for finger cleaning too. Pizzas as the main were again a good size, with the toppings not being scrimped on and cooked well. The tiramisu desert was promised as being the best in Lincoln, and it lived up to the claim! Huge portion, presented well and memorable for all the right reasons. Prices were reasonable for the setting and levels of service, and I’d love to return next time I’m in the area! ”
